Welcome to the Dam Inn
A new chapter is taking shape beside the water at the Dam Inn. Our doors are temporarily closed while this much loved Newmillerdam pub is transformed into a warm and characterful traditional inn. We are celebrating its Grade II listed stone walls, old mill heritage and remarkable setting while creating inviting new spaces for seasonal food, beautifully kept drinks and relaxed hospitality. When we reopen, walkers, families, familiar locals and curious visitors will find even more reasons to stop, settle in and stay awhile. The view is not changing, of course. We are simply making the pub beside it every bit as memorable.

UNWIND OUTDOORS
The Dam Inn's outdoor spaces are being refreshed to make more of their wonderful waterside setting. While our doors are closed, we are creating inviting places to eat, drink and unwind with views across the dam, alongside relaxed seating, thoughtful planting and a little splash of wildflower colour. Soon, it will be the perfect place to pause after the lakeside trail, gather for lunch or stretch a sunny afternoon into the evening. For now, the work continues behind the scenes. Before long, there will be a beautifully renewed spot waiting at the water's edge for locals and visitors alike.

We are temporarily closed while the pub is transformed, so please save the journey for reopening day. Inside and out, we are creating a warmer setting for honest food, beautifully kept drinks and genuinely warm hospitality.
